I got up this morning to the sound of my kids laughter...  I couldn't help but smile and think how lucky I am!

Most days I'm so distracted thinking about the price of food, staffing shortages, the cost of living etc that it must seem to my family that they are invisible to me. 

It's not that I don't care, in fact it's because I care so much that bringing home the bacon (excuse the pun) becomes my focus instead of those I love.

I know I'm not alone, this country is full of men like me...

They're farmers, miners, road warriors, sales men, policemen, firies, truckies, tradies, soldiers, sailors, pilots, office jockies and more, putting their hearts, minds and shoulders to the wheel because they want to do the right thing by their loved ones.

Forget about buying socks and undies for Father's Day. You know what he wants is just some family time, a bloody great steak, a beer or some good red wine.
